When you have an accident that is not your fault, “TORT LAW” (UK Law) means you have the right to claim your losses back so that you are put back into the ‘same position’ as you were before the accident. In effect, this means a car repaired to manufacturer-approved standards, a like-for-like temporary vehicle just like yours while these repairs are completed, and recovery/compensation of any losses you might have incurred.
In practice, it means that you are entitled to be restored back to the position that you were in before the accident happened.
